Cancellation & Payment Policies
Starting your Rental:
- Units are prorated on the month they are started. This means that if you reserve a unit on June 11th, you will only be charged that first month for the unit from June 11th, through June 30th.
- If the first month's reservation is on or after the 15th day of the month, you will be charged for the current month and the next month with your initial charge, and then every month after that on the first.
- The credit or debit card used to set up the initial rental account will be the default card to be billed for monthly renewals. In the event a card does not work, other cards that have been used to pay for prior months will also be attempted for payment.
Ending your Rental:
- A unit cannot be canceled until it is completely emptied and ready for the next person to rent.
- It is the responsibility of the renter to continue to pay for the storage unit until all items are out of the unit, including any trash left in the unit, before your rental responsibility ceases. We do not offer a service to clean out units of unwanted possessions, and a renters payment responsiblility will not cease until the unit is completely cleaned out.
- The last month of rent is not prorated. This means that if you occupy your unit on the first day of the month for any length of time, you will be charged for that month's rent. We encourage people to try and ensure if they are trying to move out at the end of the month they notify us by 5pm the day before the end of the month, once the unit is completely empty and ready to rent again, to avoid being charged for another month.
- We do not accept notice of a unit that a renter is planning to have emptied by a certain date as notice, notice of an empty unit is only accepted once the unit is actually emptied and ready to rent. Often, people plan to have a unit emptied by a certain date, but find they end up needing a little extra time than they originally thought or planned for, which is the reason for these policies.
- You cannot notify us that you have moved out of a unit a while ago, and have your account retroactively canceled. You must notify us after the unit is emptied, and ready to rent, and at that point we can cancel your subscription.
